Two Ducati riders: KTM gets Marquez and Di Giannantonio

The incumbent MotoGP vice world champion Alex Marquez will be available from the 2027 season Red Bull KTM Factory Racing get started. At the same time, the four-year term with the Ducati customer team Gresini, with whom the 30-year-old celebrated four Grand Prix victories, ends. Joan Mir and Daniel Holgado will drive for the Italians until 2028.

KTM is the third manufacturer for which the younger Marquez brother will drive in the “premier class”. Before Ducati, he was already at home at Honda. However, he already drove with the Mattighofen team in the Moto3 World Championship in 2013.

KTM has also announced the second rider for the factory bike, who also comes from the Ducati warehouse. It is the VR46 pilot Fabio Di Giannantonio. The manufacturer is new for the Italian, but the collaboration with Marquez is not because of their time together at Gresini. With the victory at the Catalunya GP, “Diggia” is currently in third place in the World Championship.
