Trump: “I don’t think the war with Iran will come back”

US President Donald Trump said he considers a renewal of war with Iran unlikely, despite doubts about the sustainability of the ceasefire.

Asked about a possible return to war at a news conference in Ankara, Trump said he “doesn’t think that’s going to happen.” At the same time, he did not abandon the threat to launch new strikes on Iran, noting that Washington speaks to Tehran “in its language.”

The US President added that any aggravation will be resolved quickly and will only make the situation safer, including for oil supplies, which, according to him, will soon become “free” and “easy.”

The tone of Trump’s latest statements is noticeably softer than this morning, when he said that the memorandum of understanding signed with Iran three weeks ago was “no longer valid.”
