Charles Leclerc drove on the new Formula 1 track in Madrid

Charles Leclerc was the first pilot to fly with one this Thursday morning Formula 1 car completed laps on the 5.416 kilometer long street circuit in Madrid. The new route runs around the IFEMA exhibition center, work on the asphalt and the pit area has been completed.

This was possible because the… Scuderia Ferrari (the current one was used SF-26) used a “film day” for it, which is usually used for advertising purposes. However, the regulations stipulate that Pirelli demo tires must be used. The maximum driving distance is limited to 200 kilometers.

The “Madring” will officially make its Formula 1 debut in September (11th to 13th). The Grand Prix of Spain will take place in the capital until 2035. The home game will be Carlos Sainz Jr. in the Williams and Fernando Alonso in the Aston Martin.
