Mbappé: “There is only one way to relax and that is to win”

French international footballer Kylian Mbappé has stated that “there is only one way to relax” during the 2026 FIFA World Cup and that that formula “is to win”, after having already reached the semi-finals thanks to his 2-0 victory against the Moroccan national team.

“I’m fine. I took a hit on my ankle, but it’s fine. I think JP [Mateta] “He was in better shape than me to play the last 15 minutes and it was also good for him to play,” Mbappé said this Thursday to television channel M6 on the grass of the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts (United States), having himself scored the 1-0.

“I don’t know if this is a mission on our path. I think the simplest thing, we are aware, is that there is only one way to relax and that is by winning. There are many reasons to be calm, we are in the semifinals and we are very happy, but there is still a long way to go,” warned the Real Madrid player, who has eight goals in this World Cup.

“We know that what awaits us is even more difficult than what we have already overcome, but we are prepared to face anything. We will continue to recover calmly and we will look at tomorrow’s game to see who we play against,” Mbappé finally referred to the quarterfinal match between Spain and Belgium.
