Lidl Austria has via broadcast via one Product recall informed: The product “1001 delights Dubai Style Chocolate Pistachio Ice Cream” in the 500 ml pack (300 grams) is affected. The Dutch one Repairer De Jongs Ice can’t rule out that in the ice Contains cashews are not stated on the packaging.
The recall only affects packs with the following information:
Best before date: December 8th, 2027
Charge: D2W50J25R1
Other products from the manufacturer De Jongs Ijs and other products from the “1001 delights” brand are not affected by the recall.
Warning to allergy sufferers
People with an allergy to cashew nuts should under no circumstances consume the affected product. Consumption can trigger allergic reactions. However, for people without a cashew allergy, the ice cream is harmless and can still be consumed.
The affected ice cream can be returned to all Lidl branches in Austria. The purchase price will be refunded, even without presentation of the receipt. Customers are asked not to consume the product but to bring it to the nearest branch.
