Iranian sources have published publications about a series of explosions in the south of the country. According to these reports, the missiles exploded near a power plant on the island of Kish, and several boats were damaged as a result of the attack on the local port.
In addition, there were reports of explosions on the island of Qeshm and at the naval base in Bushehr. There are also reports of failed attempts to intercept missiles and ongoing explosions.
There are no reports of casualties or the extent of damage yet.
Kish Water and Power previously acknowledged that the US strike on Tuesday morning damaged part of the power plant. The company called on island residents to use electricity sparingly.
