The Ukrainian parliament voted for the resignation of the government

The parliament of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada, today voted overwhelmingly in favor of the resignation of Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko and his government.

According to Ukrainian sources, 258 members of the Rada voted in favor of the resignation of the Cabinet of Ministers, and one voted against it.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced his intention to dismiss Sviridenko’s government on Sunday, July 12. On the same day, Zelensky met with the prime minister and his most likely replacement, Sergey Koretsky, the president of Naftogaz Ukraine.
