The Rada of Ukraine approved the candidacy of Sergey Koretsky for the post of Prime Minister

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the candidacy of Sergey Koretsky for the post of Prime Minister. The decision was approved by 289 votes, reports the Ukrainian service of “Azatutyun” radio station.

Koretsky’s candidacy was presented by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. He stated that after the consultations, he considers Sergey Koretsku, the chairman of the “Navtogaz” department, to be the most suitable candidate for the post of prime minister.

On July 14, the Verkhovna Rada accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko, which according to the law also means the resignation of the entire government. Sviridenko headed the government from July 17, 2025.
