STOCK EXCHANGE: Nokia fell more than 6% on the Helsinki Stock Exchange – Verkkokauppa.com shone with its result

The Helsinki Stock Exchange ended in decline on Thursday when six companies published their interim reports. The reason for the bill was not the results publishers but the network manufacturer Nokia.

Nokia’s share fell to 9.15 euros, or 6.4 percent from Wednesday’s closing reading, for no apparent reason. The technology sector was under pressure on the international stock market, which could be due to investors’ concern about the companies’ valuation levels.

Nokia’s p/e figure, calculated using the average of analysts’ forecasts, has risen higher this year than the processor designer Nvidia’swhen investors are excited about Nokia’s possibilities in the field of artificial intelligence.

The general index describing the price development of shares in the Helsinki Stock Exchange ended with a decrease of 0.7 percent to 13,118 points.

Publisher of results Nordea rose 0.8 percent to 17.02 euros. Financial Group result from April–June was good and the company corrected its instructions a little better. Net interest margin was slightly below analysts’ forecasts and a year ago, but increased from January to March.

Nordea’s interest coverage has been in a downward spiral for a long time. Interest margin means the difference between the loan interest received by the bank and the deposit interest paid to customers, and it is the most important source of income for banks.

Nordea starts paying a half-yearly dividend, which was, as expected, 0.34 euros per share, i.e. slightly more than 50 percent of the January-June result.

Verkkokauppa.com the share jumped by 14.0 percent to 3.64 euros. The review clearly exceeded the forecasts and the figures of the comparison period. Domestic consumer trade remained stable, but business acquisitions and international sales boomed.

Among the results publishers, the consumer product company Fiskars fell 1.9 percent to 12.50 euros, electronics contract manufacturer Scanfil 1.0 percent to 11.52 euros and a coaching company Trainer’s Houses 4.6 percent to 2.10 euros. Offering office supplies Wulff Companies rose 0.3 percent to 3.95 euros.

Digital Workforce raised its guidelines

IT service company Digital Workforce raised its guidance regarding turnover thanks to a favorably developed order flow. The company estimates that turnover will increase by 27–37 percent this year compared to last year, while the previous guidance was at least a 15 percent increase.

Digital Workforce’s share rose 5.6 percent to 2.81 euros.

An IT company serving telecom operators Tecnotree rose 0.9 percent to 7.07 euros. The stock has risen strongly this week when the company announced that an unnamed Canadian company is interested in buying Tecnotree.

The buyer candidate indicates an offer price of EUR 7.98–9.12 per share. The company had already been previously offered for purchase by major owners and an investment company Heliosin by with an offer of 5.70 euros.

The previous buyers announced that they had acquired 22 percent of the shares with the purchase offer. Taking into account previous holdings, the buyers would own 63 percent of the shares. They will inform later if they will implement their offer.

Goals for Wisa Group

Forest and materials company UPM announced that he had set Wisa Groupille i.e. financial goals for UPM’s plywood and veneer product business. UPM is listing Wisa Group as an independent listed company.

The company should achieve a turnover of more than 550 million euros and a comparable operating profit should be 13 percent of turnover by 2030

UPM uses the name UPM Plywood for its plywood business.

The turnover of the business area decreased by five percent last year to 409 million euros. Comparable operating profit fell by 15 percent to 35 million euros. Comparable operating profit accounted for 8.7 percent of turnover.

Wisa Group’s planned dividend policy is to distribute approximately 50 percent of the profit for the financial year as a dividend, UPM’s press release states.

Logistics company Nurminen Logistics announced that he would appoint a new CEO Mikko Kuusilehton. He will start his position in January 2027.
