X redesigns its Android app “from scratch” to make it more agile, more fluid and receive new functions faster

The new X app for Android is now available from the Google Play Store, where it can be downloaded and updated to access the new user experience, which features faster loading times and better performance.

This translates into more fluid interactions and scrolling, and more reliable general use, with fewer crashes and errors, as reported by the platform through the social network itself. The base of the new application has also been modernized, so that the technology firm can introduce new functions more quickly.

This reconstruction “from scratch” is “one of the largest engineering projects in the history of the company”, as noted by the head of Product at X, Nikita Bier, to which they have dedicated more than a year.

Bier noted that the modernization work is not finished and that there are still “some aspects to polish”, such as hosting Spaces and performance on older devices.
