Como footballer discovers breast cancer, club renews her contract

Como Women footballer Roberta Picchi has been diagnosed with breast cancer and the club renewed her contract until 2028. It was the Lombard club itself that announced that “Roberta Picchi has completed a process of medical tests which have highlighted the presence of breast cancer. Roberta will now undertake a therapeutic path, supported by the club’s medical staff, who will support the specialist teams in charge of the therapy process”, underlines the Como 1907 which “closes around Roberta and her family offering them all the necessary support.

As part of this ongoing commitment, the Club also renewed Roberta’s contract until the end of the 2027/28 season. At this time, in which Roberta will focus on her treatment and recovery journey, we ask that her privacy be respected.”
