A “shockingly good” result from Sirujäti – Share -10%

Among the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturers SK Hynix the announcement of the results caused an avalanche, as a result of which trading had to be suspended for the second day in a row.

“SK Hynix published its results, which were shockingly good. The operating result increased by more than 500 percent and the turnover by 250 percent, but this was not good enough for the analyst estimates”, Arvopaperi’s editor-in-chief Ninni Myllyoja covered market events live in Kauppalehti Economic morning on Wednesday.

SK Hynix’s share fell by almost ten percent and was also dragged down Samsung’swhich is a competitor of Hynix.

“These two are such prominent gamblers in this [Korean] on the stock exchange, that the final result looked a bit confused for a while,” said Myllyoja.

Trading on the Seoul Stock Exchange was interrupted for some time due to strong price movements. Also on Tuesday trading had to be temporarily stopped when the market saw drastic movements in the shares of semiconductor companies.

The market has been swayed this week by concerns about the returns on artificial intelligence investments.

Wednesday’s Talousam was hosted by a reporter Jussi Rosendahl.
