Trump threatens to “beat up” Iran after the “surprise attack” on US facilities in Jordan

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, threatened this Wednesday to give “a brutal beating” to Iran after the “surprise attack” perpetrated during the night against American assets and facilities in Jordan, where the troops only had “a few minutes” to intercept the missiles launched against the territory.

In a phone call with the Fox News television network, the New York magnate stated that he will “hit hard” Iran, that it will “receive a beating” for what happened in Jordan, attacks that have been repeated in other parts of the region and always against United States targets in response to the attacks perpetrated against Iranian territory.

When asked about the attacks on Iranian militia positions in Iraq, which have so far left at least twenty dead, Trump pointed to possible coordination with the Iraqi government and described the Iraqi militias that support Iran as a “cancer for the world.”

However, despite Trump’s repeated warnings, he has insisted that he will let his negotiating team continue holding talks with the Iranian authorities.

Tehran, for its part, stated this week that it would stop attacks against US interests and facilities in the area as long as Washington maintains the suspension of bombing.
