Terror in the air: the plane began to descend rapidly

At least 12 people were injured on an Air India flight, after the plane suddenly began to descend. The plane, which left Phuket in Thailand for Delhi in India, got caught in a vortex that caused it to fall about 90 meters in seconds. In the video recorded after the incident, the damage of the incident is visible. Among other things, cracks were formed in the ceiling of the plane.

The plane landed safely at Delhi International Airport. Emergency teams and ambulances were already waiting for him on the track, and some of the injured were seen being evacuated in wheelchairs. Ten passengers and two crew members were taken for medical treatment, but Air India said none of the injuries were serious.

The airline stated that the circumstances of the unusual incident are being investigated, as according to the hypothesis the plane passed through an air pocket that created severe turbulence.

The event took place about a year after the Air India disaster, during which the plane crashed only 32 seconds after takeoff, killing 241 people.
