Police have launched an investigation into suspected medical negligence following a serious medical incident that occurred on Friday, August 7, at a private hospital in central Israel. According to Ynet, an 18-year-old woman was admitted for nasal surgery, but during the procedure, she was allegedly injected with an acidic substance instead of anesthetic. After a sharp deterioration in her condition, she was rushed to the intensive care unit of Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, where doctors managed to stabilize her condition.

The Israeli Ministry of Health reported that the hospital failed to notify the ministry of this unusual incident. The ministry stated that it intends to investigate the circumstances of the incident and the actions of the medical facility.
