Prime Minister’s Press Service

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Construction Minister Haim Katz, and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich presented the “Mi-Miluim Le-Mafteach” program, which expands housing and land purchase incentives for reservists.

The program plans to allocate approximately 20,000 apartments and land plots across the country in 2026-2027. This includes approximately 16,000 apartments under the “Mehir Matara” (“Target Price”) program and approximately 4,000 plots for the construction of private homes.

In the Mehir Matara apartment lotteries, the percentage of housing allocated to reservists will be increased from 50% to 75%. An additional 25% of apartments will be allocated with priority to reservists in combat units. The discount on apartment purchases will amount to over half a million shekels and, according to Netanyahu, could reach 550,000 shekels.

In addition, benefits for reservists will be expanded when purchasing land for private home construction in Category A national priority districts. Reservists will be completely exempt from paying for the land itself, but will have to pay for site preparation and infrastructure costs separately.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, 25,354 reservists registered for the latest draw of the subsidized housing program. Of these, 4,734 won the right to purchase an apartment at a discount.
