Pep Chavarría signs for Chelsea until 2031

The Spanish full-back Pep Chavarría has become a new Chelsea player this Wednesday, to whom he transferred from Rayo Vallecano and with whom he signs a contract until 2031, as announced by the London club on its website.

Chavarría arrives at the Stamford Bridge team after having played 44 games last season for Rayo Vallecano, in which he played in the UEFA Conference League final, where he lost by a narrow margin against Crystal Palace.

Furthermore, for the last four years, Chavarría has been a fundamental pillar of Rayo, helping the Madrid club make history, with two consecutive eighth places in La Liga EA Sports during the last two seasons and qualification for a European final.

The man from Figueres stated that he is looking forward to being under the command of Xabi Alonso and expressed that being at Chelsea “is a dream”, since it is “one of the biggest clubs in the world”. “It is a great opportunity, but I am prepared and will work hard to help the team achieve success,” he added.
