“We are really building the most modern army in Europe, capable of protecting our borders. It is priceless and worth all our money and all our efforts,” said Tusk. According to him, the military investments are intended not only to improve Poland’s defense capacity, but also to strengthen the local defense industry and bring advanced technologies to the country.

Poland ordered 96 Apache helicopters in 2024. This is one of the largest military procurement deals in the country’s history, which will give the Polish army the largest fleet of Apache helicopters in Europe. At the same time, the government in Warsaw wants to ensure that a significant part of the maintenance, service and technological know-how will remain within Poland.
