European Athletics Championships: Bumpy start to the decathlon for Neugebauer

Decathlon star Leo Neugebauer didn’t get off to the best start at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham. After a bumpy start in which he slipped, the world champion ran 10.90 seconds over 100 meters. After a few meters he even had to leave his path with his right foot, but he didn’t hinder anyone. The Olympic silver medalist in Paris is ninth in his European Championship debut after the first discipline.
