With a total of 58,950 points, the 19-year-old took the top position for the time being after two out of four devices in the all-around competition. The qualification will not be completed until late Thursday evening. The best eight participants per device reach the individual finals on Sunday. The first 18 qualify for the all-around competition on Friday.

World Cup star with an early start

At the start of her medal mission, Varfolomeev was a little early. When she began her exercise, the music had not yet started. The 2025 Sportswoman of the Year stopped immediately and was allowed to start again after a short break.

Despite the small faux pas, she kept her nerve and delivered a flawless performance that earned her provisional second place behind Daniela Munits from Israel (29.450). Everything went smoothly with the ball straight away – Lohn was first place for the time being.

Lada Pusch’s performances were less fortunate, as she made mistakes with both the hoop and the ball. For the 18-year-old, the hoped-for participation in the all-around final has become a long way off.
