Vietnam Airlines increases 60,000 seats on September 2

The National Airlines plans to operate more than 3,600 flights in the upcoming peak period, recording a growth of 25% over the same period last year. Enterprises prioritize allocating additional flight resources for routes connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with key tourist destinations such as Da Nang, Cam Ranh, Hue, Da Lat and Phu Quoc.

The airline’s representative said that the domestic aviation market continues to maintain positive growth momentum after the summer peak, because the National Day holiday on September 2 is the last long break of the year. “The trend of people choosing short-term trips combined with visiting relatives has pushed the number of ticket bookings to increase rapidly since the beginning of August,” the company representative said.

The airline’s early increase in capacity helps passengers have more choices, while also contributing to stabilizing market supply in a context where input costs, especially aviation fuel prices, are still anchored at high levels. The unit must optimize flight schedules and arrange flexible fleets to ensure capacity to serve people’s travel needs.

In addition to the plan to serve the holiday rush, Vietnam Airlines proactively adjusts the operating schedule on regular routes to closely meet market realities. From August 16, the airline accelerated the operating schedule of the direct flight Ho Chi Minh City – Colombo to meet the rapidly increasing demand for trade and tourism between Vietnam and Sri Lanka. On the occasion of the opening, the company opened the sale of preferential round-trip tickets from 7 million VND.

In the domestic market, member company VASCO is preparing to restore the Can Tho – Da Lat route from August 19, right after Lien Khuong International Airport (Lam Dong) completes maintenance and resumes operations. This route uses ATR 72 aircraft, operating with a frequency of one round trip per day.

At the same time as increasing flights, businesses continue to promote the “Hello Autumn” stimulus program to bring many reasonable cost options. Specifically, groups of passengers buying tickets on domestic routes receive discounts of up to 25%. With the international flight network, the airline offers round-trip prices from 4.95 million VND (including taxes and fees) applicable to many connecting flights to Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Europe, America and Australia.

To help passengers save time waiting at the airport during peak days, Vietnam Airlines recommends that people proactively complete pre-flight procedures through the website, mobile application or automatic kiosk system. In addition, passengers can experience the electronic check-in and authentication feature using biometric recognition technology on the VNeID platform.
