Premier League: ManU closed in the last seconds – a huge hit

English There was quite a bit of drama in the Premier League on Sunday when Manchester United visited Everton’s home field.

ManU led the match twice, but in the end had to settle for a 2–2 draw.

The match started badly for the visitors when the team’s topper Harry Maguire headbutted Everton Thierno Barryyn. Maguire’s nose split open, but the bleeding was stopped, and the game continued.

There were no goals in the opening half, but it swung right at the beginning of the second period. Bryan Mbeumo cut in from the right wing and finally shot the ball accurately into the back corner.

Everton did not level until the 83rd minute when Tyrique George surprised the Manu guard Senne Lammens with a fiery shot to the front upper corner.

Completely free and forgotten Benjamin Sesko put the visitors back in the lead in the 88th minute, but even that wasn’t enough for a full points pot.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles namely, he shot a great shot on the counter-ball in the sixth minute of extra time and drove the home crowd wild. The ManU players were left with their heads down, wondering about their fate.

ManU has collected four points from three matches. Everton continue their unbeaten start to the season. From three matches, the balance is five points with a win and two draws.

Sunday in the second match, the reigning champion Arsenal defeated Chelsea in a local fight in London with goals 2–1.

Chelsea took the lead in the second minute of the match. Transferred from Aston Villa for no less than 117 million pounds Morgan Rogers shot the ball straight out of the air into the bottom corner from the aftermath of the free kick.

Arsenal thought they had equalized when Riccardo Calafiori poked a loose ball into the net after a good ten minutes of play. Ezri Konsa however, was offside in the previous situation, and the goal was disallowed.

The equalizer was finally seen in the 25th minute. Kai Havertz cut from the right wing to the center and surprised by Emiliano Martinez with a shot aimed at the front corner.

The winning goal came at the end of a great pattern in the 50th minute. At the last moment, Havertz pulled his foot out of the way of the cross and missed the ball Martin Ödegaard mistaken for an open position.

Arsenal continues after three matches with a clean sheet. Another team with a full points pot is Manchester City. For Chelsea, the defeat was the first loss of points.
