Usmanov and Fridman excluded from EU sanctions against Russia

The agreement reached on the renewal of individual EU sanctions against Russia provides for the removal from the list for Alisher Usmanov and Mikhail Fridmanwith the extension of the sanctions for the next 36 months instead of the current six-monthly renewal.

According to another source, there was a positive discussion at the meeting of EU ambassadors this afternoon. Now the technical work on the renewal will proceed and a written procedure for adoption will be initiated, with a view to a rapid conclusion.
