The Israeli concern received two Lockheed Martin awards for the production of F-35 and F-16 components

The Israeli state-owned defense concern Aviation Industry (IAI) received two awards from the American company Lockheed Martin for the quality of production and timely delivery of components for the F-35 and F-16 fighter jets by the end of 2025. Defense Industry Europe reported this on October 14.

The Israeli concern received the Ahead of Ready Award for the production of wings for the F-35 fighter jets, and the Mission Focused Award for the production of F-16 components, including wings, vertical stabilizers and additional fuel tanks.

Lockheed Martin selects a limited number of honorees each year from more than 1,400 suppliers worldwide. Awards are given for product quality, compliance with delivery deadlines and operational efficiency.

IAI President and CEO Guy Bar-Lev noted that the companies’ collaboration spans nearly 40 years and is based on mutual trust, technological synergies and a shared commitment to key aviation and defense programs.

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Vice President Kyle Franklin called receiving two awards at once an outstanding achievement by IAI.

The Israeli company has been participating in the F-35 program since 2014. In February 2026, it transferred the 350th wing for this fighter to Lockheed Martin. Production of F-16 components has continued for more than 30 years.
