ÖTV ace Tagger clearly defeats seven-time Grand Slam winner

The 18-year-old East Tyrolean defeated the 46-year-old American on Tuesday at the WTA tournament in Guangzhou, China 6:2, 6:2. The Polish Magda Linette (WTA-71st) is now waiting for Tagger in the round of 16.

Williams’ defeat was not a big surprise. The American is still waiting for her first win this year. For number 599 in the world rankings it was already that 13th opening defeat in a row.

Dominant Tagger defeats Venus Williams
