Palma de Mallorca – This trip ended in a nightmare! A yacht (probably a Sunseeker brand) suddenly filled with water off the coast of Mallorca. On board were five people, including a German family with their underage son.
It happened on Saturday on the southwest coast of the island, in front of the bay of Camp de Mar. At around 10 a.m., the harbor master there reported the sinking ship, and the sea rescue service sent out the rescue boat “Salvamar Libertas.”
Luckily, when the rescuers arrived, the passengers were already safe: another ship had picked them up – according to the Spanish newspaper “Ultima Hora”, the yacht was already half sunk!

The yacht crew was taken to Port Adriano on Mallorca back to where she had started her trip.
Once the boat has landed on the seabed, the owner is obliged to draw up and submit a salvage plan – and ultimately to pay for the actual salvage.
