The Norwegian company buys 40,000 Finnish electricity customers from the bankrupt Lumo Energia

Norwegian listed company GNP Energy informs that he is buying From Lumo Energia customer portfolio. Lumo Energia was previously reported to be closing its operations in Finland. It is one of the few electricity sellers that have already stopped operating. In the background, the wholesale price of electricity has risen.

According to GNP Energy, the portfolio includes approximately 40,000 spot or variable price customers, mainly private individuals.

According to the company, its turnover will increase by approximately 500-600 million kroner at current Finnish electricity prices.

With the deal, the company will deliver approximately 350 gigawatt-hours of electricity to Finland, making its operation in Finland the same size as Norway’s.

“The acquisition brings us closer to our goal of being a major player in the entire Nordic market,” says the CEO of GNP Energy Gisle Sveva in the bulletin.

The transfer of customers from Lumo Energia to the Norwegian company starts immediately and will be completed during this month.

The purchase price is not public.
