Hopes for a peace deal between the United States and Iran have boosted investor optimism on Wall Street. Expectations of giant stock market listings and good earnings reports from companies have also boosted the mood.

After a conflict that lasted almost three months, Iran is considering the latest proposal from the United States, the news agency Bloomberg reports. According to Bloomberg, Sosnick says that investors prefer to increase their positions rather than lighten them, because they do not want to miss out on a possible “peace dividend” accelerated market rally.

The S&P 500, which tracks large companies, rose 0.4 percent on Friday. The technology-focused Nasdaq gained 0.2 percent. It was the eighth consecutive week of gains for the S&P 500 index.

The flagship Dow Jones index advanced by 0.6 percent and the Russell 2000 index, which tracks small companies, rose by 0.9 percent.

The reason behind the increase is an investment bank Morgan Stanley target price withdrawal for Nokia shares. The bank raised its target price from 11 euros to 14 euros. Nokia is also among the first choices in the bank’s investment recommendations. In dollars, the target price increased from $13 to $16.50.
