The company that owns VinFast’s manufacturing segment has a new Chairman

This information is updated by VinFast Production and Trading Joint Stock Company (VFTP) on the National Business Registration Portal. Ms. Thai Thi Thanh Hai replaces her predecessor Le Thi Thu Thuy from June 2. Meanwhile, Vingroup Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong still serves as the company’s General Director.

Ms. Thai Thi Thanh Hai was born in 1974 and holds a Master of Business Administration at Irvine University. During the period 1994-2014, she worked at Deloitte Vietnam – one of the 4 largest audit companies in the market.

She joined the Vingroup ecosystem in 2014 and served as President of Vincom Retail and General Director of VinCommerce. Before being elected President of VFTP, Ms. Hai held the position of Deputy General Director of VinFast.

VFTP was established in 2017, currently has a charter capital of more than 90,000 billion VND. The company is part of the VinFast ecosystem founded by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong.

Last month, VinFast announced plans to separate some of VFTP’s assets into a new legal entity. At the same time, the car company will divest capital from this company, including the entire production segment and two factories in Vietnam.

In addition to the manufacturing segment, VFTP will own shares in VinEG Green Energy Solutions Co., Ltd. and real estate business cooperation agreements. The enterprise will also be responsible for all of VinFast’s financial debt, about VND 182,000 billion, as of March 31.

According to Vingroup leaders, VFTP will continue to produce according to orders from VinFast, ensuring the standards set by the company. Meanwhile, the car company will only focus on sales systems, warranty, after-sales, technical standards and customer care. After restructuring, VinFast said it could be profitable from 2027.
