Stocks today June 26: VN-Index increased again

Today’s VN-Index chart is mainly below reference. While executing ATO orders, the market decreased according to the inertia of the previous session. However, after 9:30 a.m., the market improved when stocks increased in price, accounting for more than 40% of the entire HoSE floor, helping stocks increase more than 10 points.

The green color only lasts about 30 minutes. The general index quickly turned red, then shook slightly around the reference. Near lunch break, VN-Index dropped again.

The red color extended into the early afternoon session. From 2:00 p.m., the market continued to shake around the reference. However, right before the time to process closing orders, the general index quickly regained its green color thanks to the support of some pillar codes. VN-Index closed at close to 1,872 points, up nearly 9 points compared to yesterday.

Although the representative index improved, HoSE had 196 stocks that decreased in price, more than 125 stocks that increased. Stocks fall into a state of “green shell, red heart”. According to VnDirect statistics, today’s VN-Index is mainly supported by VIC of Vingroup and VHM of Vinhomes as these two codes contribute nearly 10 points to the overall index.

Ending today’s session, VHM increased by 3.5% to 162,000 VND per unit. Liquidity reached the highest level in the entire market with more than 1,680 billion VND (accounting for more than 10% of the entire market). Of which, more than 57% of matched orders came from active buyers.

VIC also accumulated another 1.3% to 228,000 VND. The total transaction value reached nearly 580 billion VND, just behind VHM. Active buyers also dominate with more than 53% of order matching.

On the contrary, chemicals, oil and gas, construction – materials group had the worst performance today. In addition, the general index was also affected by LPB of LPBank when this stock caused the VN-Index to decrease by nearly 2 points. This code decreased 5.4% after 9 consecutive sessions of price increases.

The liquidity of the entire HoSE floor reached more than 16,100 billion VND, not much change compared to the previous session. Weak demand shows that the improving trend in the market still needs more time to confirm.

The bright spot is that foreign investors returned to net buy about 330 billion VND. The two “family” codes Vin attracted the most foreign cash flow when VHM was net bought more than 329 billion VND, VIC about 120 billion VND. Today, the market did not record any shares with a net sale of over a hundred billion by foreign investors.

For the whole week, stocks increased more than 41 points, the second consecutive week of improvement. Saigon – Hanoi Securities (SHS) believes that the short-term trend of VN-Index is to accumulate below the very strong resistance area of ​​1,900-1,930 points. This is the price range where the market has been under strong adjustment pressure in January, February and May 2026.

According to this analysis group, there needs to be “outstanding growth momentum” to expect the market to overcome the above resistance area. Currently, SHS said there is no forecast that VN-Index can overcome, but may be under pressure to adjust to the nearest support around 1,850 points and accumulate in a narrow range from 1,850-1,900 points.

The market is gradually coming to the end of the second quarter. At that time, investors will reevaluate the portfolio after the first 6 months of the year, update the basic factors and business results of the business to have a plan to restructure the portfolio, and evaluate new investment opportunities, if any.

SHS emphasized that this is not an attractive valuation area of ​​the market. Cumulative investment positions should only be considered when adjusting and should be carefully selected based on updated fundamental factors and business results of the enterprise.
