Kolyma and Transbaikalia have become leaders in the growth of tourism demand in Russia

The Russian Union of Travel Industry reported that, against the backdrop of a general decline in demand for hotel services throughout the country, in some regions of the federation, mainly in the Far Eastern Federal District, there is an increase in the number of bookings.

The leader in the market for hotel bookings in the summer remains the Krasnodar Territory, in fact, the front-line region – 27.3% of all bookings. Moscow and St. Petersburg are also in the top three – with 14.9% and 14.4%, respectively. Note that occupied Crimea accounted for only 3.09% of bookings.

At the same time, the number of summer orders in the Krasnodar region decreased by 8.8%, in the Stavropol region – by 14.8%, in the regions of central Russia – by 10-12%. The greatest decline, according to official data, is in Crimea – by 41%, Interfax reports.

According to official data, more and more Russians are showing interest in the beauty of Kolyma: bookings in the Magadan region have increased by 44%. The Trans-Baikal Territory attracted 35% more tourists this summer than a year earlier, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug – by 28%, and the Jewish Autonomous Region – by 19%.
