‘Business aircraft in Vietnam are growing fastest in the region’

The above information was shared by Mr. Carlos Brana, Executive Vice President of civil aircraft segment of Dassault Aviation at the introduction of the Falcon 10X ship in Hanoi on July 9. With headquarters in France, Dassault is one of the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers. Over the past 110 years, this company has delivered more than 10,000 military and civil aircraft, including 2,800 Falcons.

According to Carlos Brana, Vietnam is currently one of the markets with the fastest growing business jets segment in the Asia-Pacific region. Specifically, 16 business aircraft are being operated in Vietnam, an increase of more than 77% compared to last year. Among these, the long-range aircraft fleet is the main one.

Dassault has delivered 9 Falcon ships since entering the Vietnamese aviation market. Currently, the Falcon fleet has 7 ships operating in Vietnam, including 6 8X ships and 1 2000S ship.

A previous report by aviation consulting firm Asian Sky Group also said that by the end of the first quarter of 2026, Vietnam will have 15 private aircraft, an increase of 6 aircraft compared to 2025. Asian Sky Group also assessed this as the fastest business aircraft growth rate in the region.

And Brana said that in every economy with a high level of growth, the tendency of businessmen to use business jets also increases.

Dassault leaders also affirmed that Vietnam is the company’s top focus in Asia – Pacific. To demonstrate this, Dassault’s Vice President of Regional Sales, Didier Raynard said that Vietnam is the first market in Asia-Pacific where the company introduced the Falcon 10X line. Although before that, this business aircraft only took off for the first time on June 19.

At the event, Ms. Ho Thanh Huong, President of Bluesky Airways – a business aviation service provider in Vietnam, shared that this airline and domestic businessmen are also interested in the Falcon 10X aircraft. Therefore, she asked Dassault leaders about how many new aircraft the company has sold and when to receive the goods if ordered at the present time.

Carlos Brana did not disclose the number of Falcon 10X ordered for security reasons, but he informed that the ship is expected to be delivered by 2031 at the earliest. With a flight range of 7,500 nautical miles, the Falcon 10X allows passengers to fly directly from Hanoi to Europe and the US.

According to Brana, Vietnam is only in the early stages of developing the business aviation market, so it still has a lot of potential.

Didier Raynard further informed that the total number of Falcon merchant ships operating in a number of countries in Southeast Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore) and China is more than 100 ships. Thus, the number of Falcon ships in Vietnam accounts for less than 10%.

To develop the business aviation market commensurate with the growth rate of Vietnam’s economy, Dassault leaders think that Vietnam needs to have more airports, as well as improve operating mechanisms at the airport to meet the needs of domestic and international businessmen.

Brana suggested that Vietnam needs to build a specialized customs clearance mechanism such as separate security doors so that business aircraft users can enter/exit or retrieve luggage faster.
