The Ministry of Transport allocated 40 million shekels to improve infrastructure in the Arab sector

The Ministry of Transport has allocated 40 million shekels for independent transport planning in Arab localities to improve infrastructure.

The tender announced by the Ministry invites Arab municipalities and local councils to initiate projects themselves and receive full funding from the state for the planning phase. Funds for the implementation of projects will be allocated separately.

Priority will be given to improving safety near educational institutions, developing public transport and connecting residential areas with main transport arteries.

Until now, development budgets have focused on large-scale projects led by state-owned companies, while the need for everyday local solutions – such as roundabouts, safe drop-off zones and internal roads – has gone unaddressed.
