La Jornada: Pemex production increased 1.4% annually in July

The production of liquid hydrocarbons (crude and condensate) by Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), excluding that of private participants, was 1,656,000 barrels per day in July, 1.4 percent higher than that of the same period in 2025, according to the company.

Compared to June, when one million 646 thousand barrels were produced, it increased 0.6 percent.

However, Pemex’s crude oil production alone averaged 1,367,000 barrels each day in July, showing an annual contraction of 0.87 percent. In the monthly variation, the decline was 0.21 percent.

The total extraction of liquid hydrocarbons (including private participation) was one million 674 thousand barrels per day, an increase of 1.57 percent compared to the seventh month of 2025.

Compared to June, when a total production of one million 666 thousand barrels per day was reported, the increase is 0.48 percent.

Pemex crude oil exports in July amounted to 450 thousand barrels per day in the reference period, a drop of 25 percent compared to the same month in 2025.

Meanwhile, the sale of hydrocarbons abroad in the seventh month plummeted 20.49 percent compared to the average of 566 thousand barrels per day registered in June.

By region, exports to America were 260 thousand barrels per day in July, 36.84 percent higher than the 190 thousand reported in the previous period.

Towards Europe and the Far East, sales were 96 thousand and 93 thousand barrels each day, respectively, reflecting monthly decreases of 55.14 percent and 42.59 percent, respectively.

The value of total exports was 1,41 million dollars in July, 25.26 percent lower than those of June and 10.41 percent lower than those of a year before. In addition to a lower volume of exports, the average price went from 82.06 dollars a barrel in June to 74.66 dollars in July.
