Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung said that Vietnam identifies science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as the main drivers of growth. The market size, population structure and increasingly dynamic technology business community create conditions for Vietnam to become a regional center for technology development and application.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Vietnam aims for cooperative relationships that combine investment with research, development, technology transfer and high-quality human resource training. The goal is to increase the capacity of domestic enterprises and develop products with global value.
He hopes Google will continue to support the digital ecosystem, helping “Make in Vietnam” products and solutions reach the international market. Vietnam also welcomes American investors, especially in the fields of science, technology and digital transformation.
Google opens an office in Ho Chi Minh City from 2023. In the field of AI, Google coordinates with the National Innovation Center (NIC) to implement the initiative “Creating Vietnam’s AI Future” from July 2024, announcing 40,000 scholarships for digital skills training, including AI courses, and startup support programs. In June 2025, the two sides continued to expand cooperation, announcing an initiative to support AI startups and popularize AI knowledge in Vietnam.
