Japanese Toyota is by far the most popular passenger car in Finland. There are about 390,000 Toyota-branded passenger cars on the road. The number is about 14 percent of all passenger cars in Finland.

If you put all the Toyotas in Finland in a row, the line would easily stretch along the road network from Helsinki to the northernmost corner of Norway, Nordkapp.

The next most popular car brand is the German Volkswagen, of which there are almost 300,000 in Finland. The third is the pride of Sweden, Volvo, which has since passed to Chinese ownership. There are almost 250,000 Volvos on Finnish roads.
