Allenby Street in Tel Aviv to be closed to traffic for four years

This Thursday, August 10, in Tel Aviv, Allenby Street, on the section between the Carmel Market and Montefiori Street, will be closed to traffic for four years.

The reason for blocking the street will be the construction of the purple light metro line, which will connect the center of Tel Aviv with Tel Hashomer. The work is expected to last 51 months.

It should be noted that the first line of light meters in the Gush Dan area will begin serving passengers on August 18. The tram will connect Bat Yam with Petah Tikva, it will pass through Bnei Brak, Ramat Gan and Tel Aviv, and will run on a partial schedule – once every 6 minutes.
