Reima Rytsölä from Varma – Finance will be the new CEO of Solidium

Rytsölä currently serves as Executive Vice President of the employment pension company Varma.

State the investment company Solidium has been appointed the new CEO Reima Rytsölä employment pension company in Varma. He will start at Solidium no later than October 1st.

Born in 1969, Rytsölä currently serves as Varma’s Executive Vice President.

Rytsölä has worked at Varma since 2014, and he has actively developed the company’s investment activities and built, among other things, Varma’s responsible investment package.

He has previously held several management positions at Pohjola Bank.

Rytsölä says he is looking forward to a new job. He says that he enjoyed Varma very well, but now he needs new experiences. The new wash begins with studying.

“Of course, you have to get to know and get acquainted with the organization and the portfolio companies, although many of them are already quite familiar.”

According to Rytsölä, the big difference between Solidium and Varma is that Varma is a portfolio investor, while Solidium has extensive opportunities to learn more about portfolio companies and their value creation plans.

Rytsölä does not at this stage comment on the relationship of his future job in Russia Nokian Tires, which is still operating. Solidium is the largest single owner of Nokian Tires with a 9.4 percent stake.

Solidium has held the position of CEO since 2017 Antti Mäkinen resigns on 31 May.

The duties of the company’s President and CEO are temporarily performed by the General Counsel Ulla Palmunen until Rytsölä takes up his duties.
