After three months, Lay's and Pepsi are back on Carrefour shelves

PepsiCo products are back on the shelves at Carrefour. The French supermarket group has reached an agreement with the American food group. Carrefour has announced this in France. The products are also on the shelves in Belgium again.

At the beginning of January, Carrefour reported that it was involved in a price dispute with PepsiCo. The supermarket chain spoke of unacceptable prices and decided to no longer offer PepsiCo brands in France, Belgium, Spain and Italy. This included chips from Lay’s and Doritos and soft drinks from Pepsi.

Carrefour confirmed to the French news agency AFP on Wednesday that an agreement was concluded “as we wanted, in the interest of the customer”. The director of Carrefour France, Alexandre de Palmas, posted a photo on social media showing him between the store shelves with a bottle of Pepsi in his hand.

Carrefour’s Belgian press service confirmed on Wednesday evening that the agreement also applies in Belgium. “We have had PepsiCo products on the shelves again since last week,” says spokeswoman Regine Van Tomme.
