The counter-espionage organization of the Iranian army, in cooperation with other security forces of the regime, succeeded in tracking down and arresting the three perpetrators of the attack in Hamadan. They were caught because they were recognized as acting to handle the cameras. Even earlier, the one who got involved following the incident is the commander of the counter-espionage department at the base, Colonel Hashem Moradi. He was arrested after, on the very day of the attack, he ordered all the pilots of the 31st Fighter Squadron and the 31st Intelligence Squadron to hand over their mobile phones to him and his officers. This step led to his arrest on October 30. However, within just two days he was released.
A day before Colonel Moradi was arrested and four days after the damage was done to the four fighter jets in Hamadan, according to Combat Aircraft, attacks took place on the Wahadti base in Dezpol and the Yasini base in Bushehr. According to the report, the military police captured those who planned the attack in Dezpol, and in Bushehr – the intended operatives were shot. Moreover, in Bushehr these were not Air Force personnel, but in Kombat Aircraft it was claimed that these were local residents that the Mossad recruited, and tried to climb the base fence.
These attacks, whether successful or not, are intended to send a message to the Ayatollah regime – lest they decide to join the multi-arena war directly. A war of iron swords in which Hezbollah in Lebanon, the pro-Iranian militias in Syria and Iraq, the Houthi rebels, and of course Hamas and the other terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip have been involved for more than six months.
