“We have two years of orders ahead of us! »: in Loiret, OBM Construction is not experiencing the crisis

The housing sector is at half mast, but for OBM Construction, all the lights are green. This company from Chevilly (Loiret), specializing in wooden frame construction, has just taken over a Norman competitor who was in receivership. Poulingue, located in Eure, will have to reduce its workforce from 180 to 109 employees, but its activity should be revived, thanks to the establishment of synergies with its buyer.

80 million euros in turnover expected in 2024

OMB Construction, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, is lucky to escape the problems of its construction colleagues. The company specializes in school equipment and works with communities who continue to invest in this sector. It also benefits from the popularity of wooden construction, which limits the carbon impact of buildings. “We have almost two years of order books ahead of us,” specifies its general manager Tristan Lheure, at the head of the company since 2022.

The company, which manages its sites as a general contractor from A to Z, produces wooden frame walls and metal frames in its workshops in Chevilly. With Poulingue, it will be able to diversify its markets.

It intends in particular to develop in the field of rehabilitation, taking advantage of the expertise of its new Norman partner and the new regulations on zero net artificialization.

Thanks to this takeover, OBM Construction doubles in size, which now makes it one of the major independent players in the wood construction sector. Its turnover should increase from 53 to 80 million euros in 2024, and the objective is to reach 100 million by 2026.
