They begin to prepare for the onset of the holidays in advance, however, as practice shows, the peak of purchases usually occurs directly on the eve of the holiday.

According to data from the clearing company ShVA, which services credit card payments, on the morning of Monday, April 22, the eve of Passover, Israelis spent 290.62 million shekels in three hours.

This is 12% more than was spent on the morning of April 5, 2023, on the eve of last Passover, when Israelis paid 259.47 million shekels in three hours.
