Ponsse cuts more than 20 jobs in Finland – Finance

Initially, the company estimated that it would reduce a total of 120–140 jobs, of which 50–60 in Finland.

Forest machines the manufacturing company Ponsse is reducing 21 jobs in Finland as a result of change negotiations. Outside of Finland, the company is cutting about 40 jobs.

According to Ponsse, the number of layoffs was lower than expected because dozens of the company’s employees were placed in the new jobs that opened up in the change of operating model.

Initially, the company estimated that it would reduce a total of 120–140 jobs, of which 50–60 in Finland.

Ponsse’s change negotiations ended about a month ago, but at that time the number of layoffs was not yet clear.
