American aviation authority opens investigation into Boeing

The American aviation authority FAA announced a new safety investigation into aircraft manufacturer Boeing on Monday. The investigation must determine whether employees may have tampered with the paperwork during the inspections of the 787 Dreamliner.

The regulator will check whether the wings “of certain 787 Dreamliner aircraft” are correctly attached, it said in a press release. According to FAA, Boeing itself indicated that it may not have completed all required inspections regarding the attachment of the wings.
