Strong weekly performance for Gulf stocks, excluding Qatar

The majority of stocks in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries recorded a strong weekly performance, with the exception of Qatar, whose general index declined 0.28%.

The Saudi market index ended last week’s trading with an increase of 0.8%, closing at 12,352 points, compared to the previous week’s closing at 12,255 points.

In Kuwait, the general market index rose 0.16% over 5 sessions, closing at 7,033.48 points, compared to last week’s close at 7,022.09 points.

In Bahrain, the Bahrain General Index ended the week’s trading with an increase of 0.58%, closing at 2,028.59 points, compared to last week’s closing at 2,017.64 points.

In Qatar, the stock index fell by 0.28% during 5 sessions, closing at 9,610.80 points, compared to last week’s close at 9,656.45 points.

In the Sultanate of Oman, the Muscat Stock Exchange index rose 1.27% during the trading week, closing at 4773.30 points, compared to last week’s close at 4760.66 points.
