Trinity College Dublin to withdraw money from three Israeli companies and admit students from Gaza

The leadership of Trinity College, Ireland’s oldest university, has agreed with pro-Palestinian students to withdraw investments from three Israeli companies that the UN Human Rights Committee included in the list of those operating behind the Green Line.

The college will also provide education and accommodation for eight students from the Gaza Strip.

“We fully understand and stand in solidarity with the forces driving the protest movement on our campus, and share with our students the horror of what is happening in Gaza,” the leadership said in an official statement. “We categorically condemn any violence, including the horror October 7, hostage taking and brutal disproportionate attack on Gaza.”
