30 Lulu Group branches in the Sultanate of Oman

Lulu Hypermarket Group announced the opening of its 30th store in the Ansab area in the Sultanate of Oman, as part of its expansion in the Sultanate.

Sheikh Faisal Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, inaugurated the new store, in the presence of Brigadier Jamal Saeed Al Tai, Brigadier Ali bin Salim Al Falahi from the Royal Oman Police, Yousef Ali Musliam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lulu Group, and a number of dignitaries.

During the opening ceremony, Sheikh Faisal Abdullah Al Rawas stressed Oman’s commitment to being an attractive destination for investors and a conducive and supportive environment for business, as the government’s policies encourage and welcome large projects, such as the Lulu project, in order to continue investment and prosperity in the region.

The new store extends over an area of ​​more than 150,000 square feet, and the newest shopping destination provides a rich shopping experience for citizens and residents of the surrounding areas. The store also provides a selection of facilities and brands.

Yusuf Ali said: “Lulu Group is pleased to add another shopping landmark to the Sultanate of Oman, and we express our sincere gratitude to the Royal Oman Police and the government for their support of this project to meet the needs of shoppers not only in city centers, but also in remote areas and suburbs.”

He added: “The Lulu Group is committed to providing more job opportunities for the local workforce, which has been one of the pillars of our success through an organized recruitment process that aims to provide the necessary training and enhance the skills of the local workforce.”

He continued: “Currently, we employ more than 3,000 Omani citizens in all supermarkets in the Sultanate of Oman, about half of whom are women, and another 300 citizens have been given part-time job opportunities.”

Musalimam explained that, as part of the expansion plans in the Sultanate, 4 more new hypermarkets will be opened within two years, which will add more job opportunities for young people, and an advanced fruit and vegetable processing facility will also be established in the upcoming Khazaen Economic City by 2025.
