Mysterious dinner attracts attention
A dinner between a group of people that one would not normally see together has attracted attention. That is why Ekstra Bladet’s cultural commentator, Rene Fredensborg, set out to find out what was going on.

What really happened when the cultural elite gathered at Restaurant Salon in Bredgade? Ekstra Bladet’s podcast ‘Revolver’ tries to find the answer in this week’s section.

What do Jordan B. Peterson, Casper Christensen, Kaare Dybvad, Alex Vanopslagh, Lea Korsgaard and Bjørn Lomborg have in common?

Not much, but still the curious gathering of people for dinner together at the gourmet restaurant Salon in Frederiksberg last week.

It was the media man Mads Brügger who brought the mysterious dinner forward in his newsletter.

To make it all even more mysterious, the dinner was arranged – and apparently paid for – by the Pentecostal church. The pictures of the dinner were therefore also originally shared on FrikirkeNet’s facebook page.

Jordan Peterson is a controversial person who has become known worldwide for being against ‘woke’ tendencies in society and in very sharp terms criticizing feminism to such an extent that he is accused of misogyny.

Not a secret
Ekstra Bladet’s cultural commentator, Rene Fredensborg, had therefore decided to find out how the dinner came about, in this week’s edition of the podcast ‘Revolver’.

The first person he catches is Casper Christensen, who is sitting on a plane that is going to take off. The speaking time is therefore limited, but he gets to know a little here.

– Well, it’s a dinner.

It’s not a secret?

– No, not what I know of. Nothing was said that was secret, and it has not been secret at any time. So I do not really know where the mystery comes from. Then there is at least something I have not perceived, it sounds from the comedian.

As for the bill, he is a little more vague as to what was done.

– I did not see anyone paying anything, says Casper Christensen.

Deep sigh
Several of the participants from the dinner do not answer calls, but manage to get through to one of the political participants.

There is a deep sigh when Rene Fredensborg tells Kaare Dybvad who he is, but fortunately the cultural commentator does not take it so seriously. On the other hand, the minister does not have the opportunity to talk about the dinner, as he is out for a walk, so here too there was nothing new to pick up.

The other political guest, Alex Vanopslagh, gets a press officer to answer for himself in a text message.

‘I was offered to attend a dinner with Jordan Peterson before his event in KB Hallen, for which I had bought a ticket with some friends in advance. I think Jordan Peterson is a hugely inspiring person, so of course I agreed. ‘

‘It turned out to be a good conversation, even though I messed up my English a bit,’ he writes on behalf of the party leader, and then he subsequently unveils some of what was talked about:

‘Among other things, they talked about the unhappiness of young people.’

Was asked for it
Mikael Wandt Laursen hosted the event. He is general secretary of FrikirkeNet.

– When he travels around on this tour he is doing, he would like to have dinner in the countries where he lands, to talk to some influencers.

– Then I end up being asked by his organizers if I can make such a dinner with some influencers in Danish society, and then I said, ‘I think so. I’m trying ‘. We had four or five days, so it was not long. So I just drew straight on who I knew.

– I wanted to try to gather some politicians, I wanted to try to gather some from the cultural part of society, and then I thought it might be fun to try to gather some from the media world, it sounds.
