The Prado Museum has been awarded for Full Inclusion Madrid which announced the winners of the 12th edition of its annual awards this Monday.
“For its sustained commitment to cognitive accessibility in the cultural field, incorporating easy-to-read resources and adapting content so that access to art and culture is understandable for all people,” the entity explained.
In addition to the art gallery, in this edition the recognitions have gone to the ADEY Foundation, the Las Rozas City Council and Paulino Azúa.
The awards jury, formed by the Board of Directors of Plena Inclusion Madrid, highlighted “the initiatives and commitment of the winners in favor of the social inclusion of people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities“.
Precisely, the jury has detailed that the ADEY Foundation receives the award for its “commitment to promoting social, educational and health projects that promote equal opportunities, supporting initiatives that promote the development, learning and well-being of people in vulnerable situations.”
On the other hand, the Las Rozas City Council has been distinguished for its work to incorporate the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in its municipal policies, “promoting accessibility, social participation and citizen awareness initiatives.
Finally, these awards – which will be presented on April 24 – have recognized the career of Paulino Azúa, a “key figure in the development of the intellectual disability associative movement in Spain.”
