The albums of Quevedo, Fangoria, Foo Fighters, Ringo Starr and Kehlani, among the musical news this Friday

The albums by Quevedo, Fangoria, Foo Fighters, Ringo Starr, La Pegatina, Kehlani, Metric, Sr. Chinarro or Kneecap, are some of the new musical releases this Friday, April 24.

The Canary Islander Quevedo publishes his third album, ‘El Baifo’, a work made up of titles such as ‘Neither drunk’, ‘Scandic’ or ‘La Graciosa’, a song in which he collaborates with Elvis Crespo.

Fangoria releases ‘The Truth or the Imagination’, the first full-length album by Alaska and Nacho Canut, after their last batch of EPs. It is recorded in Mexico and explores Latin American folklore through bolero, ranchera and tango, among other genres.

The international albums are led by ‘Your Favorite Toy’, the work of Foo Fighters, and ‘Long Long Road’, the new solo work of former Beatle Ringo Starr.

As for other national publications, the Catalan band La Pegatina releases ‘Fuegos del barrio’, while Sr. Chinarro comes out with ‘El Año de la Pera’, a compilation of 12 songs rescued from their first albums, recontextualized.

On the other hand, Kehlani’s new self-titled album comes as her fifth studio work, composed of 17 songs that establish her as a figure of contemporary R&B.

Meanwhile, the Irish tap trio Kneecap releases ‘Fenian’, their second album. The band, which addresses political themes in its songs, names this work with a term historically used pejoratively against Irish republicanism.

Kneecap appears among the more than 1,100 musicians (along with Macklemore, Massive Attack and Blanca Paloma) who have signed a call to boycott Eurovision. In addition, rapper Mo Chara was charged in the United Kingdom with a crime of terrorism after displaying a flag associated with Hezbollah at a 2024 concert, a case in which the band denied any support for the Shiite militia and defended that it was the victim of a smear campaign. The British Justice has ended up rejecting that procedure.
